| The beginning of the end |
It all started when I went stolling through the Plaza Mayor last week, wherein I noticed some Christmas market boutiques selling cheap garlands. 5 for 3€? Yes. So, rather than hang them up in our kitchen or hallway like a normal person, I decided it was more appropriate to vandalize my roommate Jorge's door with them.

As soon as I began fiddling away, more of my roommates started pitching in. Soon, we were off to the nearest 99 cent store (colloquially known here as a "Chino"... right...) to pick up more random things to begin what is now probably every interior decorator's worst nightmare.

So then, when I came home from work the next day, I wasn't surprised to find the following items taped to my door: multiple reindeer ornaments, stickers of dogs, oxen, angels, Christmas trees, and penguins, Christmas lights, and a disco ball. The retaliation and sense of urgency to one-up each other is in the air... It truly is the Christmas spirit.
